Although kedarkantha equally beautiful and mesmerizing in summers too. Its turns into classical Himalayan trek You can experience the beauty of lush meadows, dense pine forests, cascading beautiful streams, gorgeous maple trees and… what not!

Best Time

December to March for Snow Trek, April to November (except monsoon).

Best Route to visit Team456 camps, sankri

Delhi -> Sonipat -> Panipat -> Karnel ->Indri -> Ladwa -> Yamuna Nagar -> Jagadari ->Chacharauli -> Ponta Sahib -> Asan Barrage -> Vikas nagar -> nainbagh -> damta -> naugaon -> purola -> mori -> naitwar -> sankri.

Dehradun -> Mussorie -> Kempty Falls -> Mussorie Bend -> nainbagh -> damta -> naugaon -> purola -> mori -> naitwar -> sankri.

Kedarkantha Trek Itinerary :

Day 1: Reach Team456 camps at sankri, followed by evening snacks and dinner.

Day 2: Trek from Sankri (6,450 ft) to Juda Ka Talab (9,100 ft).

Day 3: Trek from Juda Ka Talab (9,100ft) to Kedarkantha Base (10,600 ft).

Day 4: Trek from Kedarkantha Base (10,600 ft) to K-Top ( 3800mtrs) and back to Kedarkantha Base.

Day 5:Trek from Kedarkantha Base (10,600 ft) to Team456 camps.

Day 6 checkout after morning breakfast.

Sankri to Juda Ka Talab

Juda Ka Talab is a very scenic camp site for first nite of the trek. The taal freezes in winters and the temperature can get as low as -15 degree celsius. The camp site is pretty big and provides space for group activites. It can get windy at times. If lucky and the sky is clear, there is a very good chance that you will see lot of brights stars and milky ways. Juda Ka Talab with its scenic location is a very good place to get some star trails. Now, you can engage yourself in photography or a solo walk to explore the nature at its best.

Juda Ka Talab to Base Camp

You will feel like lost in the lap of Himalayas , there is no place better than this. Nirvana bliss and calmness define this place and you can get into introspection. . The temperature can get as low as -20 degree celsius at night in winters and 5-10 degrees in summers.

Base to Summit and Back to Base

The Trail to Kedarkantha is pretty strenuous and is steep at places. You are in the middle of white desert(in winters). The scenery on the way to the summit is awesome and you can never get enough of it. You will view the panoramic snow capped peaks standing tall encircling you from all sides, winds blowing at 70 kmph and the Bhole Baba Trishul to symbolise this place. You are literally on top of the world. You need to be here at the top to experience.
